SM Electrical Supplies are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Kirkcaldy team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, takes pride in accurate work and wants to develop within a friendly, family-run electrical wholesale business.
You don’t need to know everything from day one. What matters most to us is that you have the right attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn.
About the role
As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll play an important part in keeping our branch running smoothly. You’ll help make sure stock is received, organised, picked, packed and prepared accurately so our customers receive the products they need on time.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, checking and organising incoming deliveries
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Helping with stock control, replenishment and stock rotation
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised
- Supporting colleagues at the trade counter or in logistics when required
- Using systems such as Intact IQ, Microsoft Office, Teams and Outlook
- Acting as a relief delivery driver when needed to support our in-house logistics team
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone dependable, organised and willing to get stuck in.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
- A strong work ethic and good attention to detail
- A positive, adaptable attitude
- Good organisational skills
- Confidence using IT systems, or a willingness to learn
- The ability to work well as part of a small team
- A commitment to accuracy, safety and efficiency
- A valid UK driving licence, which would be advantageous
- Experience with electrical products or the electrical industry, which would be helpful but is not essential
