Thermino ePlus

The Thermino ePlus model stands at the forefront of hot water heating technology, redefining efficiency and intelligence in home energy use. Tailored as a smarter alternative to traditional direct hot water cylinders, the ePlus excels in harnessing off-peak and variable tariffs, driving significant savings on energy bills.

Designed with versatility in mind, it features flexible orientation options with plumbing exits on three sides, accommodating various installation environments. Beyond its advanced functionality, the ePlus model is synonymous with reliability, offering a market-leading 10-year warranty on the heating element.

Homeowners can also rest assured with its built-in protections against legionella risks and the convenience of no mandatory annual maintenance. Performance doesn't lag, as the ePlus provides high flow rate mains pressure hot water while boasting ultra-low heat losses—up to four times lower than conventional cylinders. This model doesn't just meet the expectations for modern hot water systems; it surpasses them, setting a new benchmark for sustainability, efficiency, and ease of use.

The ePlus lineup includes four distinct sizes: the compact 70 ePlus at 440mm, catering to smaller spaces or lesser hot water demands; the mid-sized 150 ePlus at 640mm, balancing size with capacity for the average family; the larger 210 ePlus, designed for more substantial requirements; and the expansive 310 ePlus at 1050mm, ideally suited for homes with the highest hot water consumption.

Features
  • Compact Design: Only ¼ of the size of your typical hot water cylinder

  • Cost Effecient: When connected to the grid, you can set your ePlus to shift demand to off peak hours, saving money in the process.

  • Compatible with Solar PV Systems: Optimise your ePlus by integrating it with your solar PV system

The xPlus

The Thermino xPlus model emerges as a direct and formidable alternative to traditional hot water cylinders, designed to meet the needs of modern homes with unparalleled efficiency and flexibility.

Like its sibling, the xPlus model is engineered for flexible orientation, accommodating plumbing exits on three sides to fit a variety of installation spaces. It too boasts a market-leading 10-year warranty on the heating element, emphasising reliability and customer trust. Health and safety are prioritised with minimal risk of legionella and the convenience of no mandatory annual maintenance.

The xPlus stands out for its universal compatibility with any energy source, including boilers, heat pumps, and solar PV, when paired with the appropriate Optimino key. This ensures that regardless of the current or future energy setup, the xPlus can integrate seamlessly, providing a sustainable and efficient hot water solution that adapts to evolving energy technologies.

Available in three different sizes: 150 xPlus (640mm), 210 xPlus (870mm), and 300 xPlus (1050mm).

Features
  • Space Saving: Extremely energy dense and much smaller than traditional hot water cylinders.
  • Reduces Gas Consumption: The xPlus reduces carbon emissions and gas consumption when charged by a system boiler. When paired with a combi boiler, the battery can help drive savings by preheating for the combi.
  • It's Solar PV Ready: You can also add solar PV by simply switching to the Optimino vfPV key and drive hot water savings from PV-generated electricity. You can further bring down costs by pairing this with off-peak electricity.
  • Designed to be Heat Pump Connectable: If you’re looking to install heat pumps, simply switch to the Optimino hp key or hpPV key (if paired with solar) without the need to change the heat battery.

So Do I Need The xPlus or ePlus?

To put it simply, the xPlus replaces indirect water cylinders, whereas the ePlus is designed to replace a direct cylinder.

Indirect Water Cylinders

An indirect water cylinder heats water through an external heat source, such as a boiler or central heating system, rather than directly heating the water itself.

Direct Water Cylinders

On the contrary, direct water cylinders heat the water themselves, without the need for an external heat source.
